An acre strip, possibly in Payland but more probably in St. Mary's glebe-lands, described as containing the sheep fold of the preceptor of St. Mary's Church. It is also described as abutting, via the ditch, on to the acre strip called ‘Cliffwelewasacr’. This ditch is probably on the line of Bellevue Terrace, and, therefore, Welcrofte would be north-east of that line.
