Underdown
The 16th century name of a croft lying between the ‘Stronde’ (approximately Western Esplanade) in the south, Levedon (Polygon Hill) on the east, Bernardsfelde on the north and Rolles Brook on the west. It was possibly named from a 13th century owner.
