Also known as Brown's Farm after a Mr H. Brown who occupied the farm in the 19th century, the farm was situated on the corner of Wide Lane and High Street near Westfield Corner. According to David Lloyd the farmhouse was built between the 16th and 18th centuries. The farmhouse was demolished in the 1960s in spite of being a listed building. Grange Court, a modern block of flats, now stands on the site.
