St Mary's College is an independent school founded in 1922 by a French Catholic teaching order, in Bitterne Grove house. The school was originally for boys, but began to accept girls in 1992.
The coronavirus epidemic was the last straw for the school's struggling finances, and it went into administration and closed in May 2020.
