St James Road Methodist Church
This church was built in 1927-28 by the to replace the small and inadequate Wesleyan Methodist churches in Church Street and Howard Road in Shirley. Much of the funding was provided by Joseph Rank of the flour-milling business, who was himself a staunch Methodist.
