St George's Court
(1) A 19th century court between Hoglands and East Street, reached from Hoglands by St. George's Street and from East Street by Houndwell Cut, west of St. Thomas's Buildings. It contained six houses and a wooden slaughterhouse. The 1892 dilapidated housing report said that all the houses were damp and without through ventilation: two houses, the ones next to the slaughterhouse, were condemned as unsafe for human habitation.
(2) A 19th century court opening from the west side of Back-of-the-Walls and immediately north of Oriental Terrace. It was alternatively called St. George's Place.
