South Stoneham Farm
South Stoneham Farm, built before 1845, was situated on the west side of northern Portswood Road, just south of modern-day Harrison Road. It is shown on the OS 1:2500 map of 1883. Its name was changed to Portswood Farm in the late 19th century. George Baker Haulage Contractors acquired the property in c.1920 and used the farm buildings for offices. The old farmhouse was renamed Transit House. It was demolished in the 1970s.
