Sholing Common
This district lies to the north east of the traditional parish of Sholing and has for a long time been incorporated into the civil parish of St. Mary Extra, while Sholing itself was associated with the parish of Hound. It is named on the OS 1” map of 1806 as Shoreland Common, but this is probably a corruption of Sholing.
