Provincial House, situated on the south side of Canute Road, was built in 1927-29 by F.C.R. Palmer, for the National Provincial Bank, and recently (2015) converted to apartments. It is a four-storey building with an attic, built of buff-coloured Flemish bond brick with red brick and Portland stone dressings. It is Grade II listed.
