Sotonopedia

A traditional landmark recorded near the Coxford Lane entrance to the Sports Centre. No ancient tree survives and precise significance of name in not known, but this point has always been the traditional meeting point of two or possibly more parish boundaries.
(There has been much reallocation of lands among parishes during the past 100 years but the claim remains valid).
