Plaza Hall, Portswood Road

The Plaza Hall at 506 Portswood Road was built in 1929 by Ernest Whyte, a local musician, and was used mainly as a dance hall and music venue. Although films may have been shown here, it was never licensed as a cinema. In later years it became a furniture store and then a DIY outlet.
