Pembroke House
Situated at the west end of the south side of Henstead Road, this house was probably built in the early 19th century. In the mid 19th century it seems to have comprised two adjoining dwellings called Pembroke House and Bedford House (now 52 and 54 Henstead Road). The two houses were used as private dwellings until the 1930s when they were converted into offices. Southampton Labour Party and a number of trade unions have had their headquarters here.
