Palmyra House
This house is situated on the corner of Lyon Street and Onslow Road. It was known as Palmyra House until c.1920, after which it became simply no. 31 Onslow Road. A Palmyra House has stood on the site since the early 19th century, but it is unclear whether the current building is the original one or a later construction. It may be that the L-shaped part of the house is the original building, with the front part added in the late 19th century. It was a coffee shop for much of the 19th century, and was used for a variety of retail purposes in the 20th century.
