The Oliver Cromwell formerly stood on the south side of Millbrook Road opposite Boundary Close. The building was reputed to be over 400 years old, receiving its name from unsubstantiated reports that Cromwell stayed here during the Civil War. It was demolished in the 1960s when Millbrook Road was enlarged.
