This is a point near the south-east end of the Northam peninsula. Apparently the millstone is identical with the "Heg Stone in Blackworth" which figures in early perambulations of the town, and probably represents the markstone dividing Northam from the neighbouring lands of St Mary's glebe. The name was applied to the district immediately east of William Street.
