Martin's baths were a mid-18th century enterprise located on the shore line near West Quay. They were established by John Martin, who later built and managed the Long Rooms on an adjacent site, to cater for wealthy visitors to the town's spa. The Long Rooms, opened in 1761, also boasted baths, but it is unclear if Martin incorporated his old baths into the new complex or if he built entirely new ones.
