Marland House
Marland House was a large commercial office block in the Brutalist style erected in 1963 on the site of the former Grand Theatre at the corner of Civic Centre Road and Windsor Terrace. Its name has no connection with the Marlands fields which it confronts, but was the name of one of the directors of the company which developed the building.
It was demolished in around 2016, having previously been social services offices. The site is now student accommodation, also called Marland House.
