This was a 15th and 16th century jetty belonging to Tudor House. The house was constructed by John Williams and later occupied by Sir John Dawtrey and the Lord Chief Baron Sir Richard Lyster. Blue Anchor Lane, which runs along the north side of the house, was renamed 'My Lord Chief Baron's Lane' during Lyster's occupation of the house and the bridge/jetty appears to have been similarly named. The jetty lay outside the walls between a gutter at the Postern Gate (Blue Anchor Lane) on the south and "le Berewyves gutter" (Beehives Gutter) to the north. It was 54' long and 20' wide.
