Laura Place was a mid-19th century terrace of red-brick flat-fronted houses on the east side of London Road, stretching from Brunswick Place to St. Paul's Church. Laura House, a large house set in its own grounds, and Laura Cottage were situated a little further to the south of Laura Place.
