Kootenay Avenue
Part of the Thornhill Park estate development by the Southampton and District Land Company, set up by architect Herbert Collins. The first houses in Kootenay Avenue were built in 1952, after which Collins sold the remainder of the land to local builder A. G. Tizzard, who built bungalows, houses and two-storey blocks of flats to the designs of Herbert Collins and his brother William.
