(1) A 19th century street which still exists, running from Oxford Street to Bernard Street.
(2) In the 19th century John Street ran from St. Mary Street to Broad Street and South Front in Kingsland. In the 20th century the name was changed to Johnson Street. The houses dated back to the 1830s and were demolished in the late 1930s as part of a slum clearance scheme.
