Howard Close
Howard Close, off the north side of Mansbridge Road, was built in 1927 by Herbert Collins and the Swaythling Housing Society. It was named after Ebenezer Howard, friend of Herbert Collins and founder of the Garden City movement, of which Collins was a supporter.
