Golden Grove
An 18th and 19th century name of a street in the Chapel district, perpetuating that of an earlier house. The street lay on the west side of Grove Street and parallel with it. The south end of Golden Grove (running west-east) represents the former line of the traditional way linking St. Mary's with Northam Farm. It was diverted c.1800 to the line of modern Grove Street.
Modern Golden Grove extends further to the north and incorporates much of what used to be Clifford Street.
