This building, situated on the east corner of Bernard Street and Orchard Lane, was built in the early 19th century. It may originally have been a private house, but it was a public house by 1845; it is shown as such on the Town Map of 1845-46. It is a three-bay, three-storey structure. A modern entrance has been created in the centre of the west front. The building has now been converted into apartments. It is Grade II listed.
