Gladstone, William Ewart
Gladstone made at least two trips to Southampton. In 1868, soon after becoming Prime Minister, he visited the docks. In June 1889 he stopped at Southampton while campaigning in the south and west of the country.

Gladstone Terrace
A 19th century terrace in Northam Road, on the north side of the road near the west end. Presumably named after William Ewart Gladstone.
