This mill, also known as Up-Mill or West End Mill, was situated on the River Itchen near the north-east boundary of the city. The site is recorded as being occupied by a mill in pre-Conquest land charters. A paper mill was established by Huguenot papermakers here in the late 17th or early 18th century. It was later converted to a corn mill. The buildings are not now used for milling purposes.
