Fish Tower
A small tower which formerly constituted part of the town's defences at the north end of the arcade on the west wall, occupying the 4th surviving arch south from Biddle's Gate (Simnel Street). It was presumably named from the vicinity of the Fish Market and Fisherman's Quay. Biddle's Gate was sometimes known as Fish Gate for the same reason.
