Eastgate House
Eastgate House, which formerly housed the Eastgate Printing works, is situated on Town Quay east of the High Street and next to the Platform Tavern.. It is four-storey white rendered industrial building dating from the mid-19th century. There is a former coach entrance in the centre of the front elevation on Town Quay. The Winkle Street elevation incorporates a section of the town wall. From the late 19th century to c.1960 the building was used as a furniture warehouse for the Edwin Jones department store. It was converted into apartments in 2008 and is Grade II listed.
