Dutch House, 24 Brookvale Road
This house was built in the Domestic Revival Dutch style by R. M. Macdonald Lucas in 1909-1910 as part of the initial development of the Portswood House estate. The design was intended to set the standard for the design of houses that were to follow on this 'Garden City' estate of houses, each with its own garden backing on to a communal garden at the centre. It is now a Grade II listed building.
