Situated on the corner of Shirley High Street and Crown Street this public house dates back to the 1840s when John James was the licensee. Until 1875 it was owned by the old Shirley Brewery, after which it belonged to Cooper’s Brewery and then Watneys. It is a Grade II listed building. The name was changed to Tramways in 1994 but the original name has been since restored.
