Compton Court
A 19th century court in Compton Walk.
Compton Walk
Compton Walk, which originally ran from East Park Terrace to St. Mary's Road, dates to the 1830s. The buildings on the north side were built first, followed later, probably in the 1860s, by those on the south side. The buildings were demolished in the late 1960s when the Charlotte Place area was redeveloped. A truncated Compton Walk still exists to the east of the present day Charlotte Place.
