This was a stage coach service between the Star Inn on the High Street and the Belle Savage Inn on Ludgate Hill, London. With frequent stops to change horses the journey took about 14 hours, and in 1818 cost 10 shillings. The service was listed in Cunningham’s Directory of 1811.
