College Street
College Street formerly ran from west to east from Canal Walk to Orchard Lane, south of Union Street, and north of Bernard Street. Present day College Street is on the same alignment but further east, making no contact with its predecessor. The original College Street dated from the early 19th century and was swept away with the slum clearances of the 1930s.
