College Place and Terrace
In the late 19th century College Place was situated on the east side of London Road at its northern end. As with College Green it was named from the nearby Southampton Collegiate School. In 1927 the council combined College Place with College Terrace to the south and Avenue Place to the north, the whole stretch being renumbered as College Place.
