Clarence Street
This street formerly ran from Northam Road, a little south of the end of Parsonage Road, to Millbank Street opposite the end of William Street. The street appears on the 1845/6 Town Map but few houses had been built by then. Most of the houses, including those in the photograph below, were built in the late 1840s and the 1850s. They were demolished in the 1950s and Clarence Street itself disappeared at the same time. Blocks of flats were later built over the site.

Clarence Terrace
A 19th century terrace in Northam Road, on the east side, south of York Street, renumbered 170-178 Northam Road in 1887.
