A 14th century name of a house in St. Lawrence parish on the west side of the High Street, between the house of John Niel on the north and the tenement of Adam le Herder on the south (i.e. somewhere in the stretch between Castle Lane and West Street). The name conceivably signifies a shop or workshop for the sale or manufacture of cheese. This may be the same property as Chesefelde.
