Central Bridge is a railway bridge extending from Terminus Terrace to Floating Bridge Road. It was designed by William Jacomb, chief engineer for the London and South Western Railway Company. It was constructed in 1882 to carry the Floating Bridge approach road over the railway immediately north of Terminus Station. Cllr Edward Bance was instrumental in having it built, to remove the inconvenience caused by level crossings. It now provides access to Itchen Bridge and is Grade II listed.
