An early 19th century inn on south side of Simnel Street. It dated to the 1840s and was demolished during the slum clearances of the 1890s. Another public house, the Queen, was built on the same site at the turn of the century. This public house underwent a number of name changes - Queen of Spades, the Atlantic Queen. and is currently called the Titanic.
