One of the bounds in the Nursling land charter of 877, identified by O. G. S. Crawford as the north corner of Nursling's east bound —the point on Coxford Lane where a fence then blocked the road. The burh in question is Castle Hill earthwork 500 yards further north just west of the track. The landmark now lies on the city boundary.
