Blue plaques and memorial plaques in Southampton commemorating individuals include:
- Sir Edward Penley Abraham, scientist, 47 Southview Road.
- Roy Chadwick, aircraft designer, 38 Chessel Avenue.
- Alexander Ross Clarke, mathematician and geodesist, 21 Carlton Crescent.
- Herbert Collins, architect and worker for peace, 38 Brookvale Road.
- Emily Davies, suffragist and campaigner for women's education, 6 Carlton Crescent.
- Brigadier Martin Hotine, Adanac Park, Nursling (technically, just outside Southampton). This memorial was moved from the Ordnance Survey's Romsey Road offices. Hotine's contribution to surveying is described in this article and in a post on the Ordnance Survey blog. The latter notes that he designed the "iconic and much-loved Trig Pillar".
