Blenheim House
A late-Georgian house that stood on the corner of Above Bar Street and Commercial Road, on a site now occupied by the Sir James Matthews Building of Southampton Solent University. It was demolished in 1896 "to make room for a handsome arcade with 16 shops" (Southern Echo 19 February 1896) The arcade later developed into the Plummer Roddis department store.
