This street formerly ran from the southern part of West Marlands Road to what was then Manchester Street. It was chiefly famous for number 13 (in the middle of the east side of the street), the temporary residence of T.E. Shaw, aka Lawrence of Arabia. The street disappeared in the 1930s when the Hants and Dorset bus station was built on the site. Later the Marlands Shopping Centre was erected here after the bus station had been demolished.
