Bell Street formerly ran between Canal Street and Orchard Lane, south of East Street and north of Mount Street. Bell Court was a small court off the street. The streets and courts in that area dated back to the early 19th century and were demolished in the 1930s. In the image below the view looks east towards Canal Walk. In the distance the Lord Roberts public house at 73 Canal Walk can be seen.
