Argyle House, Swift Road, Woolston
One of two houses on Swift Road, the other being The Towers, which were purchased by Itchen Urban District Council in c.1919 and converted into 9 flats under the Direct Labour Scheme. The scheme was taken over by Southampton Council when Woolston was absorbed into the borough in 1920. The two houses were demolished c.1960 and Tower House flats were built on the site.
