Arches, Weston Lane
Weston Grove House and estate, in Woolston, were built in 1801 for William Chamberlayne, MP. At that time Weston Lane dissected the estate and a carriage road connected the house with the eastern part of the grounds. The arched bridges were built in the early 19th century to allow the carriage way to pass over Weston Lane. One was demolished in 1931, the other in 1948.
