Adam and Eve
A popular nickname for the two nude statues (by separate sculptors and not designed as a group) presented to the town by the architects of the post-World War Two Kingsland Housing estate and erected on Cossack Green in 1952. "Adam" is by Bainbridge Copnall, then principal of the Sir John Cass School of Art, and "Eve" is by David Benson, a student at the school. They had been exhibited at the Royal Scottish Festival Exhibition in Edinburgh.
